Yellowstone Cutthroat Idaho State Record Shattered!

An angler from Texas just crushed the previous Idaho Cutthroat Trout State Record with this 30.5-inch tank of a Yellowstone Cuttie landed on the Snake River. The previous record landed and set by Nate Ivy in 2016 was measured at 28.5 inches.

“Yellowstone cutthroat trout are mainly found in Eastern Idaho and are native to the Snake River from Shoshone Falls upstream to its headwaters, and they are one of four subspecies found in Idaho,” according to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game.
